Pig Trough alley gives access to three residences. The alley is 1.2m wide for much of its length, and bounded by high walls.

By closing to vehicles (except buses), here, Barker St and Castle St, the entire centre of Shrewsbury becomes a dead end to motorists. Residents and deliveries have to arrive and leave via Wyle Cop.
Cambria Avenue is a rat run as well as being a well-used route to school for two schools. Blocking the road to vehicles at this point will stop through traffic without removing anyone's vehicle access.
Consider using a bus gate at the end of Copthorne Rd so that private commuter traffic stays on the A road
Make the High Street/Shoplatch Area pedestrianised again during most of the day. Open for loading before 9am perhaps? Encourage cafes to have outside areas.
Dangerous and unnecessary junction. Would make the pavement and cycle path along Roman Road continuous. Could be a bus gate linked to traffic lights to allow buses free access.

Close town centre roads to cars. Pavements aren't wide enough for social distancing. Vehicle access isn't needed.
